Full-Day Kalep Photoshoot in Phuket Heat & Humidity – Kalep stayed fresh all day

I’m writing this on the flight home from Phuket, Thailand after an incredible full-day lifestyle and photography shoot at Red Mountain Golf Course.

We deliberately chose Phuket for this shoot because we wanted to showcase Kalep in proper tropical heat and humidity — the exact conditions many of you play and train in across Asia.

32–34°C with thick, heavy air all day long. Non-stop movement: swing sequences, walking shots, outfit changes, golden hour footage. Models, crew, and myself all wearing the full Kalep collection from morning until the light finally dropped.

The result? Not a single piece looked wet, saggy, or tired. Everyone stayed sharp and comfortable the entire day.

What We Put Through Real Conditions

  • Performance Polos – Worn for hours under direct sun. The quick-dry fabric wicked sweat away instantly and dried fast between setups. They looked just as crisp at golden hour as they did at the first tee time.

  • Tailored Shorts – Constant crouching, walking the hills, and movement. Zero riding up, zero loss of shape — they performed perfectly.

  • Performance Trousers - Full-day wear with plenty of walking and movement across the course. They stayed comfortable, held their tailored shape, and delivered the perfect balance of stretch and structure even as the humidity climbed.

  • Quarter-Zips & Layers – Used during early morning and evening shots. Stayed lightweight and breathable even as the humidity built.

This wasn’t studio lighting or air-conditioned comfort. This was real golf course conditions — sweat, movement, changing light, and full-day wear.

I’ve included some raw behind-the-scenes footage from the day. You’ll see the crew working, the intense light, and most importantly — how the Kalep gear actually looked after hours on the course. No filters. No tricks. Just performance clothing doing its job.

Why This Shoot Matters to Me as Founder

I started Kalep because I was fed up with golf clothing that failed exactly in these conditions, you can read the full story on our About Us page. Seeing the whole team (and myself) stay dry, sharp, and focused all day in Phuket heat proves we’re building something that actually works.

The fabric performed exactly as designed — moisture management, four-way stretch, and tailored fit that doesn’t quit when the conditions get tough.

I've played Red Mountain before and the course is a tight, tough test of golf with amazing scenery and all the leafy tropical environment you expect from a South Asian course. The signature 13th hole is a wonder, 200 yards with a ~40 yard drop, playing around 140yards. Today I didn't hit many balls but did manage to play this hole as we were finishing up and it's always a joy. Not necceserily for the purist but great as a spectacle.

Real Proof for Real Golfers

If you play or train in warm, humid weather like we do here in Asia, this is the gear that delivers. Clean, modern, and built to keep you looking and feeling your best no matter how long the day goes.
