kalep started with a simple problem: finding golf clothing that actually fits. Most options felt loose, boxy and far too heavy once the weather turned warm and humid.
We wanted something different. kalep is about modern, tailored fits in breathable performance fabrics – polos, shorts, trousers and mid‑layers that move with your swing instead of getting in the way.
Behind the brand is a lot of trial and error: fabric testing in the heat, refining trouser shapes and adjusting collars so they sit neatly without feeling stiff. At its core, kalep is a collection of golf essentials you can rely on, round after round, in real weather.
About kalep
From the golfer behind kalep
I’ve spent most of my golfing life in shirts that never quite felt right. Too loose in the wrong places, too tight across the shoulders, and far too heavy once the heat and humidity kicked in. When you’re trying to focus on your swing, bad clothing becomes a constant distraction.
Since moving to Asia, that need has only become more obvious. The heat and humidity here punish anything that doesn’t breathe or fit properly, and I realised how few options there were for golfers who wanted both performance and a clean, modern look.
I complained about it so much that my wife finally said, “Let’s just make what you actually want to wear.” That’s how kalep started: me on the course, her off it, obsessing over fit, fabric and details until we got it right. Every polo, pair of shorts and trouser we make is something I’m genuinely happy to play in, walk in and live in.
I test everything in real weather and real rounds – in sticky practice sessions, windy afternoons and hot, slow weekends. If something rides up, clings, or feels off over 18 holes, it doesn’t make the cut. kalep exists because I was tired of compromising between how I play and how I want to look.
